Kenko Plums - Detox or lose weight?

Monday Jul 21, 2008

Not sure if any of you heard about this ‘wonder plums’ that can help you lose a few pounds before. Today I received mine which I ordered through Oscar’s mommy almost 2 months ago.

In fact I’ve tasted them about 2 years ago which my uncle’s wife brought over during 2006 CNY. At that time I was still breastfeeding Darrius and I don’t need anything to help me maintaining my weight as breastfeeding is one of the best way to do it. However, after weaning my boy off my breasts, my weight is slowly pilling up again. *sigh*

So now, lets talk about these Kenko Plums.

When I opened the box, there isn’t any reading materials in it so I don’t know where or who made them. I can only see some instructions on the back of the individually pack plum. It said to eat 2-4 packets after dinner every night. They are not suitable for kids below 3 years old as well as pregnant ladies as well as people who has very weak constitution.

The ingredients are: Golden Plum, Lactic Bacteria, Garcinia Cambotia, Angelica Keiskei, Pu-er Tea, Liquorice Powder and Alexandrian Senna.

As far as I understood from my aunt is that the plums help to detox the body… yeah, you will go poo-poo very often after consuming them. Since I am having constipation these few days, these plums have definitely came at the right time!

Whether these plums are effective or not in helping me to shed off the extra weight, I will have to see after I finish this box. I will blog about it again. So stay tuned! :)

Hokkien Mee again…

Saturday Jul 19, 2008

Yeap… that was what I had for brunch today…

Hubby cooked his ’special’ Hokkien Mee as he has been craving for it for months. Every time he said he want to cook some I will show my face 0.o as I am not a Hokkien Mee fancee. I rather have Asam Laksa instead of Hokkien Mee.

So, being the extraordinary me, instead of using the normal yellow noodles and beehoon (rice vermicelli), I used the Japanese instant noodles I have.

Love the texture of that noodles as it is more springy.

Hubby said the soup is nice wor but to me still the same-same as the one he cooked previously. Too peppery taste… which can be quite heaty.

Anyway, I will not take too much of it… if nothing to eat in the evening I’ll just walk over to the Nasi Kandar stall next few doors and get my fix of Nasi Briyani… :P

Sweet Indulgence

Friday Jul 18, 2008

I was elated when I saw Giant was selling the blueberries which I bought last month in Tesco X-tra KL. Those I bought in KL was so sweet and for the first time, it is selling below RM10!! Bought them both for RM7.99 which is considered as cheap. Cold Storage is selling a box for at least RM18!

When I was in KL, I tried using some to bake my cupcakes and they tasted so sweet and good! So fresh and they actually melted inside the cake!

However, the box I got from Giant was not as sweet instead it has a tinge of sourness. Then I remembered I still have a tub of Baskin Robbins with me as well as some sliced peaches. Hence I decided to indulge in some… oooo… yum. ;)

A Love Hate Food

Tuesday Jun 17, 2008

I love chicken rice and especially their chili sauce. I can finish up a few sauce plates even for a plate of chicken rice. However, I hate it when I’m done. Why? I will get bad breath after!!!

The ingredients for the wonderful sauce is chillies, garlic, ginger, sugar and vinegar. And the culprit that causes the bad breath is of course the GARLIC! *bah*
