Since I got my contact lenses, I can now start to beautify my eyes. It has been a long long time since I actually put eye shadow and when I opened my old Clinique, the shadow tip just crumbled and falls into crumbs! O_o
I can’t remember where I kept the extra shadow tips which I bought for my wedding nor the free gift which one of the boutique game me so I have to apply the eye shadow using my finger! How unprofessional!
While shopping in Singapore, I discovered this…

It has 4 tips in a single pen! How convenient! It cost me only $2 from Daiso. I don’t think I’ve ever come across this kind of stuff here in this backward country… hehehehe Now with this pen like shadow tips, I can apply different colors and not have all the tips falling in all different places!
I do not have that much of time to slowly shop since my boy is getting restless so I just grab and go. How I wish I can have the entire day to shop on my own!

I have been having problems with my pair of glasses as the screws tend to get lose all the time. I have been changing my glasses almost every year though last year I decided to use my old frame as it cost me RM500 when I bought it 5 years ago and I only used it for a while. I changed the lenses as my degree has increased a little. Practically it is new.
Initially I don’t intend to change it this year as I thought I’ll just bear with it for another few months before getting a new pair. Then suddenly I remembered I still have some contact lenses balance from a few years back and thought I should not waste them but but but… waste them I did as the degree no longer fits me!
I was telling the hubby I should start wearing contact lenses again (after 4 long years!) as I won’t have to deal with sliding down glasses which can be a hassle at times! And vanity got the better of me…
Hubby said why not I get some Toric lenses since both my eyes are suffering from astigmatism. I got my eyes checked again and found out that one of my eyes astigmatism has dropped but still can’t use the balance lenses I have which is non Toric.
I used to live with it last time and that was why I see blur images but when you’re vain you don’t care much! The normal contact lenses are much cheaper of course and putting on for long term can save a lot. Silly me to think that way! I could have spoil my eyes further for being thrifty!
Anyway, I made some inquiries and found out that normal lenses cost RM55 a box of 3 pairs (have to get 2 boxes since both my eyes have different degrees). These Toric lenses cost RM240 for 6 pairs (half year supply).
The shop I got from is giving another pair free as trial pair. I’m not complaining though…
With contact lenses now, I can finally put on eye shadow and mascara…. *bleh~*

Not sure if any of you heard about this ‘wonder plums’ that can help you lose a few pounds before. Today I received mine which I ordered through Oscar’s mommy almost 2 months ago.
In fact I’ve tasted them about 2 years ago which my uncle’s wife brought over during 2006 CNY. At that time I was still breastfeeding Darrius and I don’t need anything to help me maintaining my weight as breastfeeding is one of the best way to do it. However, after weaning my boy off my breasts, my weight is slowly pilling up again. *sigh*
So now, lets talk about these Kenko Plums.
When I opened the box, there isn’t any reading materials in it so I don’t know where or who made them. I can only see some instructions on the back of the individually pack plum. It said to eat 2-4 packets after dinner every night. They are not suitable for kids below 3 years old as well as pregnant ladies as well as people who has very weak constitution.
The ingredients are: Golden Plum, Lactic Bacteria, Garcinia Cambotia, Angelica Keiskei, Pu-er Tea, Liquorice Powder and Alexandrian Senna.
As far as I understood from my aunt is that the plums help to detox the body… yeah, you will go poo-poo very often after consuming them. Since I am having constipation these few days, these plums have definitely came at the right time!
Whether these plums are effective or not in helping me to shed off the extra weight, I will have to see after I finish this box. I will blog about it again. So stay tuned!

Ok… today I decided to be Ms. Vain Pot. I went to get my hair permed after almost a year.
My last hair perm was done in KL in late August last year before my trip to Singapore. And since I’ll be hopping over to Lion City again next month, I decided it is about time I get those curls back on! How vain right? *bleh*
Initially I wanted to do it when I was in KL last month but no one is helping me with my Lil’ Monkey so I kept postponing it. Then I was thinking of going back to my previous saloon but the hairdresser that always do my hair is extremely slow though he is quite good and friendly. The only thing that stopped me from going there for a perm is, they charge quite high. So, today I decided to go to a new saloon at the new shop lot under the new apartments in Keng Tian Garden. Coincidentally, the saloon has the same name as me.
There was no customer when I went in and after asking for the price I decided to try their service. The hairdresser, also one of the boss was quite nice and explained a lot to me on how should I have my hair curled. She used those rubber stick curler instead of the conventional looking roll curlers for me this time as I wanted to have those natural wave curls.
She first straighten my hair from my previous curls which still appears at the end of my hair. I spent almost 3 hours for the perm. The result… not too bad since I can’t tell if it is the type of effect I wanted until I have a few washes. The hairdresser told me this can last for a year… which is good since CNY is near… can save some money.
Before I am done, she told me to get some lotion so I can wear my hair with wet look… Ok, this one my hubby was not too happy about… he said I was conned! LOL
Anyway, the perm is much cheaper than I have anticipated (the other saloon quoted me 30% more) and service was ok… so I will continue to go back there in the future.
